Anxiety in senior dogs…it’s not always what you think!

But there’s a lot we can do to help!

Let's Get started

Potential causes of Separation Anxiety:

The sudden onset of Anxiety in a senior can be a lot more complex than a similar condition in a younger dog.

Pain and discomfort, and/or cognitive decline are often major factors that need to be considered for a training protocol to be effective.

Managing expectations is important. There is a lot that can be accomplished through daily training and the use of pain or behavioural meds (if needed), but a full recovery isn’t always possible.

Saying that, there is a lot that can be done to help your senior dog feel more comfortable at home, with the potential to increase alone time significantly enough to give you more freedom and flexibility.

Let me show you what’s possible

  • Enrichment Ideas

    & age appropriate exercise options

  • Reduce Anxiety

    through management & daily routine

  • Training & Behaviour

specific to you & your dog’s needs

  • Safe Environment

reduce the risk of slips, trips & falls

What Clients Are Saying

”I just wanted to take a moment to express our deepest gratitude.

Thanks to your incredible support, Jaimy and I continued Obi’s training, and we’re thrilled to share that we’ve reached a point we never thought possible. Obi can now be left home alone for a full workday, and he spends the time happily relaxing in his bed, chilling by the window, or just peacefully snoozing.

When we first started this journey, we couldn’t have imagined getting to this point. It’s because of your guidance, patience, and encouragement that we’ve been able to achieve this milestone. Knowing that our little guy is content and secure at home has truly allowed us to enjoy life with so much more peace of mind.

We can’t thank you enough for everything you’ve done for us and Obi—it means the world to us!."

“I wanted to give you an update on Catalina. She has been doing so great. We have been able to get up to a couple of hours and I've actually been able to start leaving her when I go to work with her walker picking her up part way through the day, which has been better for her also vs daycare. She usually settles and goes to sleep on the sofa, it feels like she knows what to do with herself now.

Thank you for all the help getting to this point! It has been really life changing for us and Cata!
